Privacy Policy

Overview

At Big Sky, Little Kitchen (the “Site”), the privacy of my visitors is of extreme importance to me. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of personal information that is received and collected by Big Sky, Little Kitchen and how it is used.

The terms “I”, “me” and “my” refer to Big Sky, Little Kitchen. The terms “user,” “you,” and “your” refer to site visitors, customers, and any other users of the Site.

The term “personal information” is defined as information that you voluntarily provide to me that personally identifies you and/or your contact information, such as your name, phone number, and email address. The term “Service” refers to all resource pages available.

Use of Big Sky, Little Kitchen, including all materials presented herein and all online services provided by Big Sky, Little Kitchen, is subject to the following Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy applies to all site visitors, customers, and all other users of the site. By using the Site or Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy, without modification, and acknowledge reading it.

Log Files

Like many other Web sites, Big Sky, Little Kitchen makes use of log files. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses, and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

Cookies and Web Beacons

Big Sky, Little Kitchen does use cookies to store information about visitors’ preferences, record user-specific information on which pages the user accesses or visits, and customize Web page content based on visitors’ browser type or other information that the visitor sends via their browser.

Advertising and Third-Party Cookies

• Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on Big Sky, Little Kitchen.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it to serve ads to users based on their visit to Big Sky, Little Kitchen and other sites on the Internet.

These third-party ad servers or ad networks use technology to send the advertisements and links that appear on Big Sky, Little Kitchen directly to your browser. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. Big Sky, Little Kitchen has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.

Big Sky, Little Kitchen’s privacy policy does not apply to, and I cannot control the activities of, such other advertisers or web sites.

Email Updates

If you subscribe to email updates, your email address is stored by Mailchimp for the sole purpose of sending you new posts. It is never shared or sold. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes your address from the list.

Changes to this Policy

You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review Big Sky, Little Kitchen and this Policy periodically and to be aware of any modifications. I will notify you of any changes to this privacy policy by posting those changes on this page.

All content on this site — recipes, writing, and in particular the photographs — is created by Kristine Paulsen and is protected by copyright. You’re very welcome to link to any post, and to share a single photograph alongside a link back to the original post if you’d like to write about something you made here.

Please don’t republish a recipe in full, use the photographs without permission, or reproduce content for commercial purposes. Ask me — the answer is usually yes, and it’s nice to know where things end up.

Recipes come with no guarantees

The recipes here are shared in good faith and are the ones I cook myself, but cooking involves heat, knives, and raw ingredients. Please use your own judgement around food safety, allergies and dietary needs. Nothing on this site is nutritional or medical advice, and any nutritional information given is an estimate rather than a measurement.

This site links to other websites, some of them affiliate links (see below). I have no control over what those sites do or how they change, and I’m not responsible for their content or their practices.
